Official Ascension Parish criminal records must be requested from the agency or court that keeps them. This privately operated resource cannot obtain a file for a visitor. Use the contacts below to route a booking sheet, police report, court disposition, statewide Right to Review, or expungement filing to its government custodian.

This Is Not a Government Office. Ascension Parish Criminal History is a private reference resource. It cannot retrieve, correct, seal, or certify a criminal record, perform an official background check, or accept an expungement petition. Contact the responsible public office for those services.

Need an Official Record?

Match the requested document to the Ascension Parish or Louisiana office that created it:

  • Arrest, jail, and booking records: Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, which also operates the public New World roster
  • Court files and certified dispositions: the clerk of the court that decided the matter; district cases go through the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court
  • Police and incident reports: the sheriff's office or municipal police department whose officer prepared the report
  • Personal statewide criminal history: Louisiana State Police BCII through its fingerprint-based Right to Review process
  • Expungement filings: the clerk for the court where the arrest or prosecution was handled
  • Registry information: the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry maintained by BCII

For sheriff records, contact Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Headquarters, 828 S. Irma Blvd., Gonzales, LA 70737, at 225-621-8300. Formal requests must be written and mailed by USPS to Custodian of Records, Attn: Deputy Kyle Gautreau, Legal Affairs, at that address. APSO says fax, email, and hand delivery do not satisfy its formal-request rule. Current counter hours were not published in the supplied official research, so call before visiting.

For 23rd Judicial District Court files, contact the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court, 828 S. Irma Blvd., Gonzales, LA 70737, at 225-621-8400. The Donaldsonville Courthouse counter is at 300 Houmas St., Donaldsonville, LA 70346; the posted APSO number there is 225-473-8671. Confirm hours and the correct records desk before travel. The criminal court case records page explains the local court split.
