Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Ascension Parish Criminal History. Viewing its content or using a search feature constitutes agreement to the terms below. Anyone who does not accept them must discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, housing, or another decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Ascension Parish and Louisiana record resources are presented only as general reference material. This is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or submits filings for a visitor.

Its function is to identify Ascension Parish custodians, including the sheriff, criminal courts, Louisiana State Police BCII, and the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry, and to provide access to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is permitted only if the visitor agrees not to:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information obtained here or through a linked service may be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Misconduct involving the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry may also carry criminal consequences under Louisiana law. Registry information serves public-safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism, blacklisting, or discriminatory action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Ascension Parish Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Its partners are not presented as services for evaluating applicants, insurance risk, credit, or housing. Information from this website or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally regulated background check must be obtained through an authorized Louisiana State Police BCII process or a screening provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

General information about Ascension Parish records is not legal advice. Only a licensed Louisiana attorney can advise how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement law affects a particular person.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dismissals, sealing, and expungement can change a record after publication. Gaps and delays may occur. Website content is never an official statement by the sheriff, a court, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

External links include sheriff pages, court systems, Louisiana agencies, legal-aid groups, and private search services. Those destinations are outside this site's control. Ascension Parish Criminal History is not responsible for their availability, content, prices, or data practices. Their own terms apply.

8. Intellectual Property

Ascension Parish Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, distributing, or creating derivative work from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from use of this website, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

The user agrees to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims or demands caused by the user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Louisiana law governs these terms, including applicable provisions of the Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, R.S. 51:1401 et seq. The Louisiana Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 et seq., controls access to public-agency records, and R.S. 15:587 limits dissemination of state criminal-history information. Any dispute connected with website use must be brought in a Louisiana court.

12. Changes to These Terms

The operator may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when the updated text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or terminated at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be modified only as far as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions
